Three New Characters Will Be Updated in Street Fighter V

It seems that there’s a hole within the good ship Capcom as, just days before the EVO 2019 fighting tournament, photographs have surfaced of three new fighters headed to Street Fighter V this weekend. If that wasn’t sufficient, a trailer starring the brand new additions appeared on Steam (link courtesy of Event Hubs).

The leak unveils the presence of three classic Capcom stars: Street Fighter’s sumo champion E. Honda, Final Fight 3’s wily street cop Lucia and, my favorite video game character of all-time, Mad Gear gang member, part-time rock star and pro-wrestling promoter, Poison. The preemptive photographs exhibit all three characters, together with a number of alternate costumes.

3. Honda has been conspicuous by his absence, is the only classic Street Fighter II star not to feature in SFV, Poison will make her return to the ring after that includes in Street Fighter x Tekken and Ultra Street Fighter IV, while Lucia – who does have a cult following of devoted fans – will probably be making her first major foray into gaming since her debut in 1995 SNES launch Final Fight 3.

No doubt these characters have been anticipated to get a significant reveal this weekend, but it surely appears the cat is out of the bag. In accordance with the photographs, it seems the characters had been set to drop on the day they had been to be introduced, August 4. It is a disgrace the shock is already out there, but it surely’s still very exciting news. Guess I better go install Street Fighter V again, and I never thought I would be saying that anytime soon.

EVO 2019 takes place from August 2 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. Street Fighter V is out there now on PS4 and PC.
